Manufactured by Everpure for BETTER WATERS

Single-cartridge technology for true bottled-water quality.
0.5 micron filtration: Maximum reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) including MTBEs, and Trihalomethanes (THMs), and particulates, oxidized metals, asbestos and cysts.
0.5 gallons / minute: Flow rate for dedicated applications and through separate faucet at sink.
500 gallon cartridge capacity per NSF certification (assuming all contaminants certified for reduction are actually present at test protocol levels).
How does it work?

1. Granular Activated Carbon chamber purges out organic chemicals, including chlorine, VOCs and THMs.
2. Through Everpure’s exclusive precoat process, water flow automatically coats the unique filter membrane with Micropure®, a proprietary blend of extremely fine activated carbon.
3. Ultrafiltration Membrane Chamber flow removes virtually all  particulates (at least 99.9%) down to 0.5 micron.

How small is 0.5 micron?l Filters out
cysts which are trapped by filtration at 1 - 2 microns.  The naked eye can see as fine as 40 microns.  0.5 micron is really small.

Bottom line: What does it take out?
NSF-certified for near total reduction of Chlorine Taste and Odor, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) including MTBEs, Trihalomethanes (THMs), cysts (including Cryptosporidium, Giardia and Entamoeba), Particulates Class I.
Also: Oxidized iron, manganese and sulfides; asbestos fibers.

Just how effective is the TX9000?

What’s the difference between the TX9000 and the CX9000?
Spectrum of contaminant removal: The TX takes out everything the CX does, but is also NSF-certified to reduce THMs and VOCs.
Capacity: The TX is rated for 500 gallons, the CX for 1500 gallons. (The tradeoff: Larger reduction spectrum = Smaller capacity.) Does that matter? In most applications the CX will last longer than the TX, because the TX is a double-chamber system with accordingly less space allocated purely to particle removal.
Height: The TX cartridge is 2” taller than the CX cartridge. Product dimensions
